The Brain · Capture verb, second mechanism

The visual DNA hiding in every save.

Inspiration shouldn't be a black box. Every image has a palette, a composition, a lighting setup, a mood. Memo extracts those automatically — so each reference is structured input to the next render, not just a memory in a folder.

The Brain

Save once. Reuse forever.

Memo reads the palette, composition, lighting, mood, and creative cues from every save, so each reference can guide the next asset.

Creative direction

A still life composition of soft, warm ceramic objects on a linen-textured surface. Terracotta and oxblood tones dominate, with a brass accent. Natural side-light from the upper left, deep shadows, shallow depth of field, 50mm lens at f/2.8.

Description

A quiet, considered editorial still life. Three handmade ceramic vessels share a linen surface; warm terracotta dominates with a single brass accent that catches the side-light from the upper left.

Palette

A 6-swatch palette with warmth, contrast, and saturation chips. Copy as hex, oklch, or directly into your design system.

Creative direction

A complete, editable direction note: subject, style, lighting, lens, and mood. Drop it straight into the next brief.

Composition

Layout, framing, perspective, focal point, depth of field. The structural DNA of the shot, in plain language.

Lighting

Type, direction, quality, shadow. The lighting setup you can copy into your next reference brief.

Mood + texture

Editorial, tactile, brutalist, soft, glossy, raw. Memo names the feeling and the surface so you can ask for more of it.

OCR + elements

Text in the image (lockups, captions, packaging copy) and the discrete objects in frame — both extracted, both searchable.

How it works.

01

Save the image first

Capture from any browser, paste a URL, or upload a file. The save kicks off a free auto-title and description in the background.

02

Click Analyze

One click runs a deeper visual read. About 5 seconds. Costs ~1 credit.

03

Copy what you need

Each block - palette, direction, composition - has its own copy button. Grab the whole read or just the lighting setup. Feed it into your next brief.

Common questions.

Every save gets a free 5-8 word title and one-sentence description. Analyze is opt-in: it runs a much heavier vision pass to extract palette, composition, lighting, mood, OCR, and creative cues. Costs ~1 credit per Analyze run.

Ready when you are

Every save makes the brain smarter.

Day 90 in Memo doesn't look like Day 1. The brain compounds because every analysis enriches the next one.
